Division II administrators from the Northeast have been invited to participate in the second annual Division II marketing seminar conducted by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators.

The program, "Marketing Small College Athletics," will be conducted April 19-21 at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston. Administrators from the Central Atlantic Collegiate, New York Collegiate Athletic, Northeast-10, Pennsylvania State Athletic and West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences have been invited to participate, along with other non-Division I administrators from the region.

Registration information for the event is available through the NACMA Web site at http://nacda.collegesports.com/sports/nacma/spec-rel/012105aad.html .

The registration fee is $90, which will purchase a NACMA membership in addition to access to the April 19-21 program. Anybody cancelling before April 1 will receive a full refund. Those cancelling after April 1 will not receive a refund but will retain the NACMA membership for 2005-06.

Those planning to attend are responsible for their own hotel reservations at The Colonnade (800/962-3030, fax: 617/425-3222, e-mail: reservations@colonnadehotel.com). The rate is $159 per night, but participants will receive credits of $37.50 for one night and $75 for both nights at checkout. Attendees should mention that they are with "NACMA Presents" when making the reservation.

The event is a follow-up to the first NACMA "On the Road" Seminar conducted last summer in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

That event provided Division II administrators from the Southeast with information about collegiate athletics marketing.

The program was well-received, but the sentiment was that it would help to emphasize the needs of small-college programs. This second program will attempt to accommodate that desire.

Topics include "Know Your Challenges and Recognize Your Assets," "Utilizing Your Students, Faculty and Staff," "How to Price It, Sell It and Trade It," "Balancing the Efforts Between Fund-raising and Marketing," "Brilliant Ideas That You Can Steal from the Pros," "Successes in Marketing a Small-College Program," and "Having More Fun Means More Fans and More Money."

While the first "On the Road" seminar was restricted to Division II members, this one is not. Anybody from any program that might benefit from the seminar is welcome to participate.

The application deadline is March 18.
