Volleyball panel chooses regional sites
Nebraska, Penn State, Texas A&M, Stanford selected to host

The NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Committee has announced the following sites for regional competition during the 2005 Division I Women's Volleyball Championship: The Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska; the Recreation Building in University Park, Pennsylvania; the Maples Pavilion in Stanford, California; and the G. Rollie White Coliseum in College Station, Texas. The University of Nebraska, Lincoln; Pennsylvania State University; Stanford University; and Texas A&M University, College Station, are the respective hosts for the events that will be held December 8-9, 9-10 or 10-11.

"Having the opportunity to pre-select our regionals has made these rounds of the championship a better student-athlete experience," said Julie Hermann, chair of the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Committee. "The committee believes this year's selections are very capable of building on this success and continuing to take the championship to the next level."

The 2005 championship semifinals and final will be at the Alamodome in San Antonio December 15 and 17. The 2006 finals will be at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska, December 14 and 16, and the 2007 finals will be at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California, December 13 and 15.
