DECEMBER

Division I Baseball

November 12-January 6, 2005 (12:01 a.m.): Quiet period.

January 6, 2005 (12:01 a.m.)-10: Dead period.

January 11, 2005-February 28: Quiet period.

Division I Men's Basketball

November 18-March 15, 2005: Quiet period, except for 40 evaluation days selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; institutional staff members shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one day per week during this period.

Division I Women's Basketball

November 12-February 28, 2005: Quiet period, except for 40 evaluation days selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; institutional staff members shall not visit a prospect's educational institution on more than one day per week during this period.

Division II Men's Basketball

The period between the prospect's initial and final high-school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.

Division II Women's Basketball

The period between the prospect's initial and final high-school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.

Division I Football

November 28-January 29, 2005: Contact period (with the exceptions noted below). Six in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted during this period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week.

December 19: Quiet period.

December 20-January 1, 2005: Dead period.

January 9, 2005: Quiet period.

January 10-13, 2005: Dead period.

January 14-15, 2005: Quiet period.

Additional restrictions for two-year college prospects and their educational institutions:

December 12: Quiet period.

December 13-16: Dead period.

December 17: Quiet period through April 14.

Division II Football

December 1-13 (7 a.m.): Contact period.

December 13 (7 a.m.)-15 (7 a.m.): Dead period for two-year college prospects and their educational institutions.

December 15 (7 a.m.)-January 31, 2005 (7 a.m.): Contact period.

January 31, 2005 (7 a.m.)-February 2 (7 a.m.) Dead period.

February 2, 2005 (7 a.m.)-March 7: Contact period.

Division I Men's Lacrosse

November 12-23: Contact/evaluation period.

November 24-28: Dead period.

November 29-December 23: Quiet period.

December 24-January 3, 2005: Dead period.

Division I Women's Lacrosse

November 24-January 1, 2005: Quiet period.

Division I Softball

November 25-January 1, 2005: Quiet period, except from 12:01 a.m. on the day of registration for the national convention of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to 12:01 a.m. on the day after adjournment of the convention: Dead period.

Division I Women's Volleyball

December 6-14: Quiet period.

December 15-31: Dead period (except that coaches attending the American Volleyball Coaches Association annual awards banquet may have incidental contact with two-year college prospects being honored at the banquet).
