Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is January 23, 2004.

Women's Bowling Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Shawn Eichorst, formerly of the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee may be a coach or an administrator from any division and should be from the Central or South regions.

Eligible Central region conferences: Southwestern Athletic Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Eligible Central region independent institution: University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Eligible South region conference: Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Eligible South region independent institution: Bowie State University.

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is January 23, 2004.

Men's and Women's Fencing Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Jeff Cohen of Brandeis University, who has resigned from the committee. Three September 2004 vacancies. Appointees may be from any division. The immediate appointment must be from the Northeast region and represent men's interests. Two September 2004 appointees must represent men's interests (Mid-Atlantic/South and West regions) and one appointee must represent women's interests (West region). One appointee must be an administrator.

Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process by the conference office.

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is January 23, 2004.

Division I Committee on Infractions: One May 1, 2004, vacancy. Eugene Smith, Arizona State University, will resign from the committee as of that date. There are no restrictions on this appointment. Ethnic minority candidates are encouraged to submit nomination materials.

Division II

Division II individuals may be self-nomination or nominated by peers. A Division II nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process available at web1.ncaa.org/committees/selection.jsp. Divisional access code and password are available upon request.

The deadline for submitting nominations for the following vacancies is February 2, 2004.

Division II Men's Soccer Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Jonathan Harper from Northeast-10 Conference, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an administrator from the New England region.

Eligible conferences: Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, Northeast-10 Conference.

Eligible independent institution: Green Mountain College.

Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace E.D. Wilkens of LeMoyne-Owen College, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an administrator from the South region.

Eligible conferences: Gulf South Conference, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Division III

Division III individuals may be self-nominated or nominated by peers. A Division III nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be submitted via the online nomination process available at web1.ncaa.org/
committees/selection.jsp. Divisional access code and password are available upon request.

Division III Baseball Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Scott Nichols of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the New England region and may be a coach or an administrator.

Eligible conferences: Commonwealth Coast Conference, Great Northeast Athletic Conference, Little East Conference, Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference, New England Small College Athletic Conference, New England Women's and Men's Athletics Conference, North Atlantic Conference, University Athletic Association.

Eligible independent institutions: Husson College, Saint Joseph's College (Maine).

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is February 4, 2004.

Division III Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Shawn Eichorst, formerly of the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be a male.
