Milestones: Coach Matt LaBranche collected his 100th victory in baseball April 3 when Western New England College defeated Daniel Webster College, 12-3 ... Linda Detra of Arcadia University recorded her 200th softball victory in the first game of a doubleheader sweep of Neumann College April 15. Detra has never had a losing season at the school ... Julie Lenhart became the 17th softball coach to earn 400 victories in Division III when State University College at Cortland defeated State University College at Buffalo April 16. The first 120 of those victories came during a five-year stint at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, before Lenhart moved to Cortland State 15 years ago ... Illinois Wesleyan's 10-2 victory April 17 over Wheaton College (Illinois) gave baseball coach Dennis Martel his 400th career coaching victory. Martel is in his 17th season at the school ... Rick Noren's 314th softball win at Pacific Lutheran University April 18 made him the school's most-victorious coach in the sport. Noren surpassed a mark established by Ralph Weekly, currently co-head coach at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, who served at Pacific Lutheran from 1986 to 1994 ... Norm Schoenig collected his 500th victory in memorable fashion, when his Montclair State University baseball team beat highly ranked Eastern Connecticut State University, 4-3, April 20. Schoenig, who coached the Red Hawks to Division III titles in 1993 and 2000 and a runner-up finish in 1998, also led the team to the 1,300th victory in school baseball history two days earlier with a win over DeSales University ... Elizabethtown College's Matt Jones earned his 100th career baseball victory April 23 in the Blue Jays' 10-3 victory at Lebanon Valley College ... Rick Ferchen won his 200th game at State University College at Oneonta with the Red Dragons' 8-6 victory April 24 in the first game of a baseball doubleheader against State University of New York Institute of Technology. He has won more than 500 games during stints at Valparaiso University, Hobart College and Oneonta State ... Scott Pritchard recorded his 200th baseball coaching victory April 27 in a 9-1 victory by Westminster College (Missouri) over Principia College. Pritchard, who also coached at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, has been at Westminster for eight seasons.
