Steeb appointed to governance role

Terri Steeb, who has served on the NCAA membership services staff since 2000, has been selected as the director for Division II governance.

Steeb most recently has served as associate director of membership services/ Division II governance liaison. In that role, she has been the primary liaison to the Division II Legislation Committee and also the principal liaison between the membership services staff and Division II governance. She has provided legislative and interpretive expertise at meetings of the Division II Management and Presidents Councils, as well as during Division II business sessions of the NCAA Convention.

Other responsibilities have included serving as primary liaison to the Division I Continuing-Eligibility Subcommittee of the Academics/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet and as staff liaison for the Division I athletics certification process.

Before joining the NCAA staff, Steeb was part of the sports administration program at Ohio University, where she was responsible for organizing and monitoring compliance forms and regulations for all teams and coaches. She also was event coordinator for Ohio women's volleyball matches.

Steeb is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also was president of the institution's student-athlete advisory committee. She was a four-year varsity letter-winner in volleyball.
