Terri Steeb has been promoted to the position of associate director of membership services/Division II liaison.

Steeb has been a member of the staff since May 2001 when she joined the national office as a coordinator of membership services. She became an assistant director of membership services in December 2001.

She will replace Missy McCracken, who resigned in January.

Steeb has served as the primary liaison to the Division II Academic Requirements and Division II Degree-Completion Committees. Other Division II responsibilities have included serving as secondary liaison to the Legislation Committee and providing legislative and interpretive support for the Division II Management and Presidents Councils. She has filled that same role during the Division II business session of the annual Convention.

She also has been primary liaison to the Division I Continuing-Eligibility Issues Subcommittee of the Academics/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet.

Steeb earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she won four varsity letters in volleyball. She was president of the campus student-athlete advisory committee at UAB.

She earned a master's degree in sports administration and facility management from Ohio University. While there, she was responsible for organizing and monitoring compliance forms and regulations for all teams and coaches. She also was event coordinator for facilities for Ohio volleyball matches.
