In-person meeting
November 7, 2003
The Interpretation Subcommittee of the Division II Legislation Committee issued the following interpretation:
2004 Proposal No. 25 -- Two-Year College Transfers -- Advanced Placement Credit
The NCAA Interpretations Subcommittee of the Division II Legislation Committee determined that credit earned though advanced-placement credit may be used to certify a student-athlete's eligibility under the two-year college transfer requirements, provided such credit appears on the two-year college transcript and is considered transferable-degree credit by the certifying institution. Further, the subcommittee determined that advanced-placement credit shall be used only once to satisfy the two-year college transfer requirements. 2004 Proposal No. 25 -- Two-Year College Transfers -- Part-Time Hours (II)
The subcommittee determined that part-time hours earned at the two-year college immediately preceding the transfer to the certifying institution may be used to satisfy the two-year college transfer requirements, specifically whether a student-athlete has satisfactorily completed 12-semester or 12-quarter hours of transferable-degree credit per term of full-time attendance, provided such hours appear on the two-year college transcript and are considered transferable-degree credit by the certifying institution. Below are examples to illustrate the application of this interpretation.
