Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I nomination form and Division I nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Sharon K. Tufano, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancies is August 15, 2003.

Division I Initial-Eligibility Waivers Committee: Five January 2004 vacancies, one appointee for each subcommittee: learning-disabled, home-schooled, foreign-student records, core courses and transcript changes. Expertise or experience with learning disabilities or foreign-student records is preferred for those subcommittee appointments. Only one appointee can be from Division I-A.

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self-nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee and each separate committee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Sharon K. Tufano, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Division II Women's Basketball Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Karyn Ridgeway, formerly of Montana State University, Billings, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the West region and may be a coach or an administrator.

Eligible conferences: California Collegiate Athletic Association, Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Eligible independent institutions: Montana State University, Billings; Western New Mexico University.

Division II Committee on Infractions: One September 2003 vacancy. The appointee will replace Julie Hill from the University of Northern Colorado, who will resign from the committee September 1. There are no restrictions on this appointment.

Division II Membership Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace John Wagnon, formerly of the University of Central Oklahoma, who resigned from the committee. There are no restrictions on this appointment.

Division II Nominating Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Lon Boike, formerly of the University of Minnesota, Crookston, who resigned from the committee. There are no restrictions on this appointment.

Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: One September 2003 vacancy. The appointee must be an athletics administrator from the Mid-Atlantic region.

Eligible independent institution: University of District of Columbia.
