The NCAA News

Kenyon won 15 of 20 events to claim its 24th consecutive Division III Men's Swimming and Diving team title March 20-22 at Emory. The Lords' winning point total of 756 1/2 was the highest in Division III history and nearly twice the score of the runner-up Johns Hopkins, which had 384. Emory took third with 292 points.

Kenyon's Marc Courtney-Brooks amassed seven titles, three individual and four relay events. He won the 100-, 200- and 500-yard freestyles, breaking 15-year-old records in the latter two. Teammate Andrejs Duda also won three individual events -- the 200-yard individual medley and the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events.

Of the event winners from other teams, two were repeat champions. Eddis Singleton of Mount Union took the 50-yard freestyle, while Kevin Wang of Whitworth was the champion in the 400-yard individual medley in record time.

Other top efforts from Kenyon swimmers came from Leandro Monteiro, who won his second title in the 200-yard backstroke, and Elliot Rushton, who won the 1,650-yard freestyle.

Kalamazoo's Anthony Holt won both springboard events and was named diver of the meet.
