LSU's sweep of first places in the three shortest races of the meet led the Tigers to a second consecutive Division I Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships team title March 14-15 at Arkansas.

Muna Lee won the 60- and 200-meter dashes, and Lolo Jones captured the 60-meter high hurdles, as LSU earned 62 points. Florida and South Carolina tied for second place with 44 points each.

Jones also came in sixth in the 60-meter dash, and Stephanie Durst placed sixth in the 200. All told, the Tigers totaled 36 points in the three events.

"People like Muna Lee and Lolo Jones are few and far between," LSU head coach Pat Henry said. "We've had some great sprinters at LSU and I don't think we've ever had an athlete have a weekend like the one Muna did."

Lee became the first competitor since 1994 to win the two short sprints in the Division I championships. "This was one of my best meets ever," she said. "I feel like I did my part and that we all did our part."

Nicole Toney added the only points for LSU off the track by finishing second in the triple jump. Nadia Davy placed third in the 400-meter dash and Marian Burnett came in third in the 800-meter run for the Tigers, who have won 10 of the 21 Division I indoor championships contested.

Florida dominated the 20-pound weight throw with five of the eight place-winners. Erin Gilreath won the event and teammate Jukina Dickerson was second, as the Gators racked up 30 of the 40 points available.

LeShinda Demus led South Carolina by winning the 400-meter dash. Aleen Bailey placed fourth in the 200 and fifth in the 60 dash for the Gamecocks.

Auburn's Elva Goulbourne joined Lee as a double winner. Goulbourne soared to victory in both the long and triple jumps, in addition to placing second after Lee in the 60 dash.

Goulbourne also set a meet record of 22 feet, 4 1/4 inches in the long jump. Colorado's Sara Gorton established a new mark in the 5,000-meter run (15 minutes, 39.25 seconds), and the Texas quartet of Keasha Downer, Raasin McIntosh, Moushaumi Robinson and Sanya Richards lowered the 1,600-meter relay record to 3 minutes, 27.66 seconds.
