DIVISION I

Dates and sites: The East Regional will be March 29-30 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island; the Northeast Regional will be March 28-29 at the Centrum Centre in Worcester, Massachusetts; the Midwest Regional will be March 29-30 at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan; the West Regional will be March 28-29 at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis; and the Men's Frozen Four will be April 10 and 12 at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York.

Field: Sixteen teams -- six from the automatic-qualifying conferences and the remaining 10 selected at large.

Selection date: March 23.

2002 champion: Minnesota.

Top team contenders: Colorado College, Maine, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Boston College, North Dakota, St. Cloud State, Michigan, Cornell, Ferris State.

Players to watch: Peter Sejna, Colorado College; Chris Kunitz, Ferris State; Zach Parise, North Dakota; Grant Stevenson, Minnesota State-Mankato; Martin Kariya, Maine; Dave LeNeveu, Cornell; Wade Dubielewicz, Denver.

DIVISION III

Dates and sites: A first-round game will be played March 12 at a campus site. The quarterfinals will be March 15 at campus sites, and the semifinals and final will be March 21-22 at a campus site.

Field: Nine teams -- six from automatic-qualifying conferences (Pool A); one from independent institutions (Pool B); and two at-large teams that do not qualify through their conference (Pool C).

Selection date: March 9.

2002 champion: Wisconsin-Superior.

Top team contenders: St. Norbert, Wisconsin-River Falls, Rochester Institute of Technology, Middlebury, Oswego State, St. Thomas (Minnesota), Norwich.

Players to watch: Don Patrick, Oswego State; Mike Bournazakis, Rochester Institute of Technology; Brian Yingling, Lebanon Valley; Kevin Schieve, Norwich; Dan Meneghin, Wisconsin-River Falls.

After Middlebury won the Division III title five straight seasons beginning in 1995, three different schools have claimed the crown (Norwich, Plattsburgh State and Wisconsin-Superior).
