Division I

Dates and sites: The following regionals will be conducted May 15-17: East -- Auburn University Club; Central -- Colbert Hills Golf Course, Manhattan, Kansas (Kansas State, host); and West -- Washington National Golf Club, Auburn, Washington (Washington, host). Oklahoma State will host the finals May 27-30 at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Field: Three 54-hole regionals will be conducted to determine the 30 qualifying teams and six individuals not on those teams who will compete in the finals.

Selection date: May 5.

2002 team champion: Minnesota.

2002 individual champion: Troy Matteson, Georgia Tech.

Top team contenders: Augusta State, Texas, Texas Christian, UCLA, Minnesota.

Top individual contenders: Troy Matteson, Georgia Tech; D.J. Trahan, Clemson; Hunter Mahan, Oklahoma State; Oliver Wilson, Augusta State; Brandt Snedeker, Vanderbilt.

Division II

Dates and sites: The following five super regionals will be conducted May 5-7: Northeast/East -- Drumlins Golf Course, Syracuse, New York (Le Moyne, host); Atlantic/Southeast -- The Harbor Club, Greensboro, Georgia (GC&SU, host); Central/Great Lakes -- The Silo Ridge Country Club, Bolivar, Missouri (Southwest Baptist, host); South/South Central -- Turtle Point Country Club, Florence, Alabama (North Alabama, host) and Northwest/West -- The Meadows Golf Club, Littleton, Colorado (Colorado Christian and Southern Colorado, hosts). Cal State Chico will host the finals May 20-23 at Crosswater Golf Club in Sunriver, Oregon.

Field: A total of 80 teams and 50 individuals will be selected for regional competition, with 10 regional champions, 10 low individuals not advancing, eight at-large teams and two at-large individuals advancing to the championships. The number of participants allowed at the finals is 102.

Selection date: April 25 for regionals; May 9 for at-large and individuals.

2002 team champion: Rollins.

2002 individual champion: J.J. Jakovac, Cal State Chico.

Top team contenders: West Florida, South Carolina-Aiken, Rollins, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Stanislaus.

Top individual contenders: Kevin Warrick, West Florida; J.J. Jakovac, Cal State Chico; Aaron Black, South Carolina-Aiken; Kevin Klebe, Cal State Bakersfield; Ryan Thornberry, Cal State Stanislaus.

Division III

Dates and site: The finals will be held May 12-15 at the Dornoch Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio (Ohio Wesleyan, host).

Field: A total of 90 participants from six districts and 30 at-large individuals will compete for the team and individual championships.

Selection date: May 1.

2002 team champion: Guilford.

2002 individual champion: Chris Noll, Wesley.

Top team contenders: Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Redlands, Methodist, Oglethorpe, Averett.

Top individual contenders: Chris Noll, Wesley; Ryan Quinn, Wisconsin-Eau Claire; Jordan Bailey, Redlands; Chris Summers, Oglethorpe.

Minnesota's 2002 team championship marked the first time since Ohio State in1979 that a northern team won the championship.
