The NCAA News

An online application of the NCAA Compliance Assistant software will be showcased during this year's Regional Rules-Compliance Seminars.

The new Compliance Assistant internet (CAi) will be released to the membership this summer, with full use of the CAi available for the 2003-04 academic year.

The CAi, which will represent a significant improvement from the Windows version of the Compliance Assistant, will be showcased to the membership at the 2003 regional seminars.

Training sessions for the CAi will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays at each of the seminar sites: May 7-9 in Charlotte, North Carolina; May 21-23 in Chicago; and June 4-6 in Seattle.

The seminars will provide participants a hands-on approach to CAi enhancements. In addition to the usual topics of setup/user administration, eligibility, financial aid and ad hoc reports, the previews at the seminars will feature new sections of the CAi, including coach/personnel, playing and practice seasons, and the expanded recruiting section.

A total of 40 computers will be available for each hands-on session.

For more information about the Compliance Assistant internet version or the CAi sessions at the 2003 regional seminars, contact Mandi Kern at the NCAA national office (317/917-6222).
