Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancy is October 16, 2002.

Men's Gymnastics Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Vanessa Abell, formerly of the Eastern College Athletic Conference, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee may be an athletics administrator or coach from either the East or West men's gymnastics regions. The appointee must be from Divisions I-AA, I-AAA, II or III.

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self-nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee and each separate committee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Sharon K. Tufano, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancy is October 16, 2002.

Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee: One immediate vacancy for a student-athlete at-large position. The appointee may be a student-athlete from any Division II conference or independent institution. The at-large positions are intended to enhance gender/ethnic/sport diversity.

Additional nominations solicited

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancy is October 2, 2002.

Division II Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee must be an athletics administrator from the South or East region. Administrators from institutions sponsoring cross country in those regions and women are encouraged to apply. Eligible conferences from the East region are the Pennsylvania State Athletic, Central Atlantic Collegiate and West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences. Eligible independent institutions from the East region are Concord College, West Virginia Wesleyan University and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Eligible conferences from the South region are the Gulf South, Peach Belt, Sunshine State and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences. Eligible independent institutions from the South region are the University of Alabama, Huntsville; Kennesaw State University; Morehouse College; University of North Florida; and State University of West Georgia.
