Nomination forms, updated committee rosters and vacancy information may be found online at www.ncaa.org under "Administration and Governance."

Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I nomination form and Division I nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials must be sent to Sharon Tufano, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancies is August 5, 2002.

Division I Women's Rowing Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Jo-Ann Nester of Dartmouth College, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an athletics administrator. There are no regional restrictions.

Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Kelly Landry of the University of Illinois, Champaign, who has resigned from the committee in order to serve on the Championships/Competition Cabinet. There are no restrictions to this appointment, but preference will be given to nominees from the Big Ten Conference.

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self-nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee and each separate committee. Nomination materials must be sent to Sharon Tufano, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Division II Men's Golf Committee: One vacancy. The appointee must be an athletics administrator from the Southeast or Atlantic region. Eligible conferences are: Peach Belt, South Atlantic, Southern Intercollegiate, Carolinas-Virginia Athletic and Central Intercollegiate Athletic. Eligible independent institutions are: Benedict College, North Greenville College, Savannah State University and Gardner-Webb University.

Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports: One Division II vacancy. The appointee must be a coach.

Foreign-Student Records Committee: One Division II vacancy. There are no restrictions for this appointment.

Previously listed vacancies

Division II Membership Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Thomas Spicer of Fort Hays State University, who has resigned from the committee. There are no restrictions for this appointment.

Additional nominations solicited

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancies is August 5, 2002.

Division II Men's Soccer Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Jim Naumovich of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an athletics administrator from the Central region. Eligible conferences are: Great Lakes Valley, Heartland and Mid-America. Eligible independent institutions are: Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne; Truman State University; Rockhurst University; Southwest Baptist University; and Oakland City University.

Division II Women's Soccer Committee: Two vacancies. One appointee must be from the Far West region and one must be from the Midwest region. One appointee must be an athletics administrator. Eligible conferences are: California Collegiate Athletic, Great Northwest, Heartland, Lone Star and Rocky Mountain Athletic. Eligible independent institutions are: Montana State University-Billings, Dallas Baptist University and Texas Lutheran University.

Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: One vacancy. The appointee must be a female athletics administrator from the East region. Eligible conferences are: Central Atlantic Collegiate, New York Collegiate, Northeast-10 and Pennsylvania State Athletic. Eligible independent institutions are: Green Mountain College, University of New Haven, New Jersey Institute of Technology and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Division II Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee: Two vacancies. Appointees must be from the South, South Central or East regions. One appointee must represent men's interests and one must represent women's interests. Preference will be given to female nominees. Eligible conferences are: Gulf South, Heartland, Lone Star, Mid-America, Rocky Mountain Athletic; Eastern Collegiate Athletic, Pennsylvania State Athletic and West Virginia Intercollegiate. Eligible independent institutions are: University of North Florida, Savannah State University, State University of West Georgia, Spelman College, Dallas Baptist University and Westminster College (Pennsylvania).

Softball Rules Committee: One Division II vacancy. The appointee must be an athletics administrator.

New committee coordinator

Sharon Tufano has assumed duties as the NCAA's committee coordinator at the national office. Tufano, who has been with the Association since 1993 and who most recently served with the governance staff, replaces former coordinator Lori Braa, who moved to a position with the NCAA Hall of Champions.
