Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. A Division I nomination form and Division I nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancies is April 17, 2002.

Men's and Women's Skiing Committee: One Division I vacancy. The appointee will replace Felix McGrath, University of Vermont, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an athletics administrator and should be from Division I-AAA.

Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Buddy Powers, Bowling Green State University, who will resign from the committee April 12, 2002. The appointee must be from the CCHA Hockey Conference (Big East, Big Ten and Mid-American are in the CCHA). The appointee may either be a coach or an athletics administrator.

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self-nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee and each separate committee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancies is April 17, 2002.

Division II Men's Basketball Committee: Two immediate vacancies. One appointee will replace Gil Cloud, Arkansas Tech University, who has resigned from the committee. That appointee must be from the South region and may be either a coach or an athletics administrator. The other appointee will replace James Seavey, Stonehill College, who has reigned from the committee. Seavey's replacement must be from the Northeast region and may be either a coach or an athletics administrator.

Division II Football Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Stan Lambert, Abilene Christian University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the West region and may be either a coach or an athletics administrator.

Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: Three September 1, 2002, vacancies due to the committee being restructured. One appointee must be from the East region, one from the Southeast region and one from the West region. Two must represent women's interests and one must represent men's interests. There currently are two interim vacancies that have not been appointed. Of the five vacancies, two must be administrators and two must be female.

Division II Nominating Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Grafton Young, Newberry College, who has resigned from the committee. There are no restrictions for this appointment.

Division II Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Paul Parker, Southwest Baptist University, who has resigned from the committee. There are no restrictions for this appointment.

Foreign Student Records Committee: One Division II vacancy. The appointee will replace Barbara Maryak, University of Bridgeport, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must have extensive knowledge in foreign educational systems and foreign credentials.

Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports: One Division II vacancy. The appointee will replace Cindy Brauck, Missouri Western State College. The appointee must be a coach and may be from any region.

Division III

Division III individuals may be nominated by peers. Self-nominations also are accepted in Division III. A Division III nominee information form must be completed for each nominee and each separate committee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Division III Women's Volleyball Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Liesl Fowler, Augustana College (Illinois), who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the Midwest region and may be either a coach or an athletics administrator.

The deadline for submission of nomination materials for the following vacancies is April 10, 2002.

Division III Softball Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee must be from the Atlantic region and may be either a coach or an athletics administrator.

Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee: One vacancy. The appointee must be from the Midwest region and represent men's interests. The appointee may not be from the Presidents' Athletic Conference and may be either a coach or an athletics administrator.
