Methodist's monarchy remained intact on the links as the Monarchs won their fifth consecutive Division III Women's Golf Championship team title May 14-17 at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts.

Methodist, shooting a team score of 1,310, finished 31 strokes ahead of second-place Mary Hardin-Baylor (1,341), 74 strokes ahead of third-place Amherst (1,384), and 77 strokes in front of fourth-place DePauw (1,387). The top four teams were awarded team and individual plaques.

Thomas More golfer Lynn Thompson won medalist honors with a four-day score of 312. Thompson was named Player of the Year by the National Golf Coaches Association. Mary Hardin-Baylor senior Rachele Miller finished second with a 319, and Mount Union senior Meghann Glass finished third with a 324.

A pair of Methodist seniors, Leighann Rastede and Angie Wengerd, led Methodist with scores of 327, tying them for fourth place with Gustavus Adolphus' Alicia Golembeski and Amherst's Emily Foran.

Jessie Hunter (330), Michelle Meadows (331) and Hope Thomas (346) rounded out the field for Methodist.
