Acting for the Division I Management Council, the I Academics/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet Subcommittee on Legislative Review/ Interpretations issued the following interpretations:

Recruiting/Complimentary

Admissions to Postseason

or Conference Tournament

1. Complimentary Admissions to Prospects' Coaches to Attend Postseason Tournament. An institution may not provide complimentary admissions to coaches of prospects (or any other individual responsible for teaching or directing an activity in which a prospect is involved) to attend a postseason competition (for example, NCAA championship, conference tournament, bowl game). Such tickets may be purchased only in the same manner as purchased by any other member of the general public. Eligibility/Seasons of Competition/Nonchampionship Segment

2. Proposal No. 01-10 -- Midyear Enrollee Competing in Nonchampionship Segment. The provisions of Proposal 01-10 shall apply to a student-athlete who initially enrolls full time in a Division I institution at midyear, provided the student-athlete is academically eligible at the time of enrollment at the certifying institution.
