The Division III Presidents Council, acting on a recommendation from the Division III Management Council, requested that the Association-wide Honors Committee exercise greater diligence and responsiveness to diversity in its selection of future speakers for the Honors Dinner. The Council also asked the committee consider honoring the NCAA Sportspersons of the Year at the Honors Dinner at next year's Convention.

Both the Presidents Council and the Management Council reviewed a proposed Division III Financial Aid Audit Model from the Division III Financial Aid and Awards Committee. Both Councils endorsed the establishment of a model and provided feedback to the committee regarding the particular model brought before the Councils.

The Management Council withdrew Proposal NC-26 (Committees -- Women's Volleyball Rules Committee) and referred it back to the Division III Championships Committee for further review. The effect of this action wil be discussed in the January 29 NCAA News.

A post-Convention meeting of the Management Council welcomed new members: Stephen P. Argo, commissioner of the Southern Athletic Conference; Amy Ashbrock, SAAC representative and student-athlete from Wilmington College (Ohio); John C. Harper, director of athletics at Bridgewater State College; Leon Lunder, director of athletics at Carleton College; and Suzanne Coffey, athletics director at Bates College.
