Three national office staff members have been promoted to director-level positions in enforcement and membership services.

Stephanie J. Hannah has been promoted to director of enforcement at the national office. She replaces Cris Sexton, who left the staff last month. Also, Lynn Holzman and Delise O'Meally have been promoted to directors of membership services.

Hannah has been with the enforcement staff since 1994, when she served an internship in enforcement and student-athlete reinstatement. She was hired as a full-time enforcement representative in 1995 and recently was elevated to enforcement representative II.

Hannah has processed major infractions cases and has presented evidence regarding cases before the Division I Committee on Infractions. She also has served as the enforce

ment staff liaison to the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Hannah was a volleyball standout at Montana State University-Billings, where she earned her

Bachelor's degree in mass communications in 1989. She was the head volleyball coach and assistant basketball coach at Seward Community College in Kansas, where she also taught communications for three years.

She obtained her master's degree in sport management from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1994, and then served a one-year athletics department internship at Stephens College in Missouri before beginning her tenure at the NCAA.

O'Meally, who is in her fourth year at the national office, will oversee the interpretations area in membership services and serve as the primary liaison for the Legislative Review/Interpretations Subcommittee.

O'Meally also will have responsibilities in the membership services continuing education and quality control programs, Web publishing initiatives and all issues related to telephone and e-mail policies

She has been involved in the areas of interpretations, education planning and athletics certification during her NCAA tenure. Last year, O'Meally was promoted to the coordinator level with additional responsibilities in membership services technology issues.

Before joining the national office staff, O'Meally spent five years in athletics administration at Morgan State University, serving initially in sports information, moving to compliance and finally to the position of assistant director of athletics for internal operations. She also was a student-athlete in tennis at Morgan State.

Holzman began her NCAA service in 1996 when she was hired as a membership services representative.

As director of membership services, Holzman will oversee the legislation area (all three divisions), the conference contact program and NCAA publications (including the Manuals), and serve as co-director of interpretations (along with O'Meally). She also will continue to serve as a liaison to the

Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Holzman came to the NCAA after working in the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, athletics depart

ment from 1995 to 1996.

She has a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, where she captained the women's basketball team and was named female athlete of the year in 1994. Holzman also has a master's degree in physical education from North Carolina, and she currently is working toward a second master's degree in business administration from Butler University.
