Seattle Pacific has selected Bobby Bruch as its first head women's soccer coach. The program is scheduled to begin competition in 2001.

Bruch currently serves as an assistant coach with the school's men's program, a position he will retain. Before joining Seattle Pacific, Bruch spent four years as director of operations for the West Coast Football Club. He led the WCFC Shamrocks, an under-19 girls' team, to the 1998 national championship. Bruch's coaching career started in 1992 at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California, where his teams captured three straight championships and remained undefeated for his final 61 games as head coach.

Since the NCAA already has reimbursed Florida, the institution must repay the NCAA the amount owed.
