Division II Offers and Inducements -- Employment of Two-Year College Prospects

Division II institutions should note that with the adoption of Proposal No. 36 (effective immediately), an institution may arrange employment for a two-year college prospect provided the employment does not begin before the time period in which the prospect has completed requirements for graduation or has officially withdrawn from the two-year college.

NCAA Division II Recruiting -- Video Materials

NCAA Division II institutions should note that with the adoption of NCAA Proposal No. 37 (effective immediately), an institution may produce and show electronically stored information about the institution to a prospective student-athlete or the prospect's coach. Information may include still photos and printed text that is electronically stored and delivered and which relates directly to a particular institution and city. Further, the printed text shall cover only information pertaining to the institution's student services, academic admissions, catalog and campus life in addition to basic information pertaining to the immediate town or city in which the institution is located. Finally, please be advised that this information may not be sent to or left with the prospect or the prospect's coach.

Division III Permissible Expenses -- Meals

Division III institutions should note that with the adoption of Proposal No. 80 (effective immediately), an institution is permitted to provide meal expenses to a student-athlete who serves on an institutional committee when he or she misses a regular meal as a result of a committee meeting conducted during the institution's dining facilities' hours of operation provided such expenses are available to students in general.

Division III Housing and Meals -- Vacation-Period Expenses

Division III institutions should note that with the adoption of Proposal No. 81 (effective immediately), an institution may provide room and board expenses for a specific period of time to student-athletes who return to the institution's campus during a vacation period following institutional competition. For student-athletes who return to campus during the institution's official vacation period, which occurs during a regular academic term, such expenses may be provided beginning with the student-athlete's arrival on campus until the institution's regular dormitories and dining facilities reopen. For student-athletes who return to campus during the institution's official vacation period between regular academic terms, such expenses only may be provided for not more than a 48-hour period beginning with the student-athlete's return to campus. Under all circumstances, if the student-athlete lives at home during any vacation period, the cost of room and board may not be provided by the institution.
