Almost 2,000 delegates are expected to be on hand for the Association's 94th annual Convention January 8-11 in San Diego.

Divisions II and III will act on 94 legislative proposals during their January 10 business sessions.

For Division I, the Convention will be an occasion for celebration and an opportunity to discuss matters of interest to the division.

Among the highlights of the Convention will be the annual honors dinner January 9, during which the NCAA will present former U.S. Naval Academy football player Roger Staubach with the Theodore Roosevelt Award, the Association's highest honor.

During the honors dinner, the NCAA also will recognize the Today's Top VIII (current student-athletes) and the Silver Anniversary Award winners (former student-athletes). John E. Berry Jr., a football player from Williams College, will be recognized with the NCAA Award for Valor.

NCAA President Cedric W. Dempsey will deliver his annual State of the Association address during the opening business session January 9.
