Previously listed vacancies

The deadline for submission of completed nomination materials for the following vacancy is August 25, 2000.

Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee: Two Division II vacancies. The appointees will replace Terry Tyler, formerly of Eastern New Mexico University, and David Thomas, formerly of Bowie State University, who have resigned from the committee. Appointees must be ethnic minorities and may be either male or female. There are no regional restrictions.

Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I nomination form and Division I nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

The deadline for submission of completed nomination materials for the following vacancy is September 4, 2000.

Division I Women's Volleyball Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Amy Perko, University of Kansas, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from Division I-A and may be from any district.

The deadline for submission of completed nomination materials for the following vacancies is September 14, 2000.

Division I Infractions Appeals Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Rodney Smith, University of Arkansas, Little Rock, who has resigned from the committee.

Division I Initial-Eligibility Waivers Committee: Five vacancies. The appointees will replace Susan Berner, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; Noreen Morris, Conference USA; Carol Iwaoka, Big Ten Conference; Carl Settergren, University of Missouri, Columbia; and Marilyn Parker, Monmouth University, who are not eligible for reappointment. The appointees should have expertise in the following areas: learning disabilities, home school, foreign student records, core-course review and transcript change. The appointees must be from Division I-A.

Division I Satisfactory-Progress Waivers Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace James Klein, University of Toledo, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee may be from any subdivision.

Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: Two newly created vacancies due to the expansion of the number of men's tennis representatives on the committee. The appointees must represent men's tennis. One appointee must be from Region 4 and the other must be from Region 7.

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Division II Women's Basketball Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Jacqui McWilliams, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the South Atlantic region.

Division II Baseball Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Donald Parham, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the South region and may be either an administrator or a coach.

Division III

Division III individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division III. A Division III nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L. Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 317/917-6808).

Division III Budget Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace David Carter, Eastern Connecticut State University, who is not eligible for reappointment. The appointee must be a chief executive officer.

Division III Financial Aid and Awards Committee: Two vacancies (one student-athlete). The appointees will replace Georgette DeVeres, Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges, and Ryan Eklund, University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, who are not eligible for reappointment. One appointee must be a female financial aid administrator and one must be a student-athlete. The appointees may not be from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate or the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences.

Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Beverly Klooster, Calvin College, who is not eligible for reappointment. The appointee must be a faculty athletics representative.

Division III Management Council: Four vacancies. The appointees will replace Albert Bean, University of Southern Maine, Walter Johnson, North Central College, Louise O'Neal, Wellesley College and Truman Turnquist, Mount Union College, who are not eligible for reappointment. At least one appointee must be a male and at least one appointee must be from Region 3.

Division III Membership Committee: Two vacancies. The appointees will replace Marcia Kierscht, Stephens College, and Mike Walsh, Washington and Lee University, who are not eligible for reappointment. At least one appointee preferably will be from Region 3.

Division III Softball Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Judith Yorio, Dickinson College, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the East region and be an athletics administrator.

Division III Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee: Two vacancies. The appointees will replace Jo Ann Andregg, University of St. Thomas (Minnesota), and Tom Weingartner, University of Chicago, who are not eligible for reappointment. One appointee must be a male and one must be a female. The appointees preferably will be from Regions 1, 3 or 4.

Division III Student Athlete Advisory Committee: Two vacancies. The appointees will replace Andrew Hedden, Carleton College, and Shawn McNamara, Worcester State College, who have resigned from the committee. At least one appointee must be a male and there are no regional restrictions.
