Division II Field Hockey

Field: A two-team tournament will decide the national champion. A team will be selected from each of two regions: North and South.

Date and site: The championship game will be played November 7 at an on-campus site.

Championship notes: Regional realignment has the entire Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in the South region for the first time, eliminating the perennial match-up of Bloomsburg vs. Lock Haven. No member of the new North region has ever qualified for the NCAA championship. Bentley looks to be leading the way at 8-0, including victories over PSAC members Kutztown and East Stroudsburg. Defending champion Bloomsburg got off to a seven-game winning streak behind Jess Kircher, 1998-99 PSAC Athlete of the Year. The Huskies are dealing with the loss of five starters from last year's squad.
