Championship notes: Maryland won its record fourth straight title last year and the Terps' 11-5 victory over Virginia was the most one-sided since Maryland beat Princeton, 13-5, in 1995 ... Except for Princeton in 1994, every champion since 1991 has been from the Atlantic Coast Conference ... This is the second year in which a bid has been reserved for a Division II team. West Chester was the Division II representative last year. In addition to West Chester, Duke and Georgetown made their first tournament appearance last year ... College of New Jersey, which lost in the title game as host in 1982, is the only non-Division I team to have played in the championship game.
