Spring Championships Preview -- Division I Men's Tennis

Field: Teams will play a single-elimination tournament at 16 first- and second-round sites (four teams at each site) and the finals site (16-team bracket) to determine the national champion. Individual championships shall consist of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams.

Dates and sites: The regionals will be conducted on campuses of participating institutions May 14-16. The finals will be held at Georgia May 22-30.

Championships notes: Stanford seeks its fifth consecutive team championship. The Cardinal has won eight of the last 11 team titles and has won the most team titles with 16. Southern California and UCLA each have won 15. Georgia hopes to dethrone the champion Cardinal after placing second to Stanford in each of the past two years. The championships return to Athens, Georgia, for the seventh time in nine years and the 21st time overall.
