Facilities: Rollins College will break ground in May on a $10.1 million expansion that will double the size of the 30-year-old Enyart Alumni Field House on the campus. The 73,000-square-foot facility, which is scheduled to be completed 15 months after construction begins, will be named for the project's initial $3 million donors, Harold and Ted Alfond. The center will feature an upgraded floor, a second practice gymnasium and other features that will make it easier to accommodate the university's 21 varsity sports.

Milestones: Steve Anson, Washburn University of Topeka, 500 victories in baseball. Anson has coached the Ichabods for 19 seasons and ranks 25th all-time among Division II baseball coaches ... Charlie Chronister, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, 500 wins in men's basketball, becoming the third Division II coach to reach that mark this year. The others are Dave Robbins of Virginia Union and Paul Peak of Texas A&M University, Commerce ... Gerald Griffin, Francis Marion University, 700 wins in baseball. Griffin entered the season ranked 12th all-time among active Division II baseball coaches.
