Division III Men's Ice Hockey

Field: The championship features eight teams, including the champions of the State University of New York Athletic and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The remaining five teams are selected at large.

Dates and sites: The four winners of first-round competition, which features a two-game series with a minigame tiebreaker system, at campus sites March 12-13 will advance to the campus of one of the competing institutions for the semifinals, third-place and championship games March 19-20.

Championship notes: Four-time defending champion Middlebury is vying to become the first NCAA ice hockey team to claim five consecutive titles. Each of Middlebury's four championship-game victories have been by a margin of one goal.
