Division III Women's Basketball

Field: The championship provides for a field of 48 teams participating in four regions.

Dates and sites: First-round games will be held March 3 on campus sites, and second-round games will be conducted March 6 on campus sites. The quarterfinals will be March 12-13 on campus sites. The semifinals and final will take place at Western Connecticut State March 19-20.

Championship notes: Salem State has participated in the most championships (15). Capital and Elizabethtown, with two championships apiece, are the only teams to have earned more than one title ... Two champions finished undefeated -- Capital in 1995 (33-0) and Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1996 (31-0) ... Elizabethtown has competed in the most title games (four) and Scranton, winner of the 1985 championship, has won the most tournament games (29).
