Corrections noted in II, III track standards

Corrections to the Division II men's outdoor track and field qualifying standards have been noted from those published in the September 14 issue of The NCAA News and in the 1999 NCAA Track and Field/
Cross Country Rules book.

The automatic qualifying standard in the 1,600-meter relay should be 3:09.00 for fully automatic timing (FAT) and 3:08.7 for manual timing (MT). In the mile relay, the automatic standards should be 3:10.20 for FAT and 3:09.9 for MT.

All of the provisional qualifying standards for the two events are correct as published.

In addition, a change to the Division III women's outdoor track and field qualifying standards has been made. The provisional qualifying standard in the women's javelin should be 35.50 meters, rather than 38.50 meters. The automatic standard of 41.28 meters is unchanged.
