Winter named to NCAA staff

Rhonda Winter, former vice-president of information technology and operations for InterArt/Sunrise Publications in Bloomington, Indiana, has been named the NCAA's director of information systems and technology.

Winter will be responsible for leading the development of an information technology plan for the Association, managing resources to accomplish the strategic initiatives identified by the plan, and providing the necessary technology tools to assist Association employees in providing fast, efficient, and quality services to the membership.

Winter will supervise 13 programmer/analyst/network specialists and two support-staff members.

In addition to her service at InterArt/Sunrise Publications, Winter has worked at Allison Engine Company as manager of information systems and spare parts. Before that she was corporate auditor for GM Corp. and a systems analyst/programmer for Detroit Diesel Allison/GM Corp.

She has a bachelor's degree in industrial administration from General Motors Institute and a master's in interdisciplinary engineering from Purdue University.
