Division III seeks general committee nominations

Division III is soliciting nominations for vacancies on eight general committees. Terms on these committees begin in January 1999 following the NCAA Convention.

The Division III committee structure allows for self-nominations or nominations by peers. All Division III institutional and conference staff are encouraged to become active in the nomination process.

Individuals interested in committee service must complete a Division III Nominee Information Form. The deadline for the return of completed forms is August 28. The Division III Nominating Committee will meet in mid-September to review nominations submitted and forward its recommendations to the Management Council and Presidents Council in October.

A nominations database has been established at the national office, which allows for tracking and maintenance of nominations submitted. Division III nominations submitted for these committees will be the first nominations entered into the database for use by the Nominating Committee. For this purpose, all interested individuals are asked to complete a new Nominee Information Form, regardless of whether a form was completed and submitted within the last year. Forms may be obtained by contacting Julie Quickel, committee coordinator, at the national office.
