Kenyon dominates again, claims 15th straight championship

Chalk another one up for the records book.

In what has become an annual tradition of spring, Kenyon captured the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 12-14 in St. Louis.

It was the 15th consecutive national championship for the Ladies.

Kenyon dominated the relays, winning four of five, including the 200, 400 and 800 freestyles and the 200 medley relay. The Ladies set NCAA records in the 200 and 400 freestyle and 200 medley relays.

Denison won the 400 medley relay.

Marisha Stawiski for Kenyon dominated the freestyle events, winning the 50, 100 and 200 and setting an NCAA record in the 100 with a time of 50.14 seconds. Amelia Armstrong from Kenyon took home titles in the 500 freestyle and 400 individual medley.

Williams' Erin Anderson swept the breaststroke events with times of 1:04.71 in the 100 and 2:19.91 in the 200.

Heidi George of Middlebury won her third consecutive title in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 17:02.76. In the backstroke, Michelle Englesman finished first in the 100, with Erica Carroll of Kenyon taking the title in the 200.

Kristine Taylor of Williams won both the one-and three-meter diving events.
