II solicits more nominations for committees

Division II is resoliciting nominations for an Association-wide general committee and two division sports committees.

Nominees selected for the positions will serve terms beginning September 1, 1997.

Nominations are being resolicited because the Division II Nominating Committee did not receive an ample number of nominations for these positions.

Individuals who already have submitted nomination materials for any of these positions remain in the pool of candidates for that position, and need not resubmit a nomination.

Nominations are being sought for these positions:

  • Olympic Sports Liaison Committee. One vacancy exists on this Association-wide general committee for a Division II representative.

  • Division II Field Hockey Committee. Two vacancies exist on this committee. Both appointees must be administrators (administrators who also coach are eligible). One of the appointees preferably will be from the North field hockey region and the other will be selected at large.

  • Divisions II and III Women's Golf Committee. One vacancy exists on this committee for a Division II representative. The appointee must be an athletics administrator (administrators who also coach are eligible). The appointee cannot be selected from the Midwest golf region.

Nominations must be submitted by June 13 on a nomination form that can be obtained from Julie Quickel, NCAA committee coordinator, at the national office. The completed nomination form should be faxed to Quickel at 913/339-0035.

Self-nominations are encouraged, as well as nominations by peers. Once Quickel receives a nomination form, she will send an information form via fax to the nominee, which must be returned (preferably via fax) by June 27.
