Qualifying standards in track corrected

Errors were discovered recently in qualifying standards for Division I men's and women's outdoor track and field that are listed in the 1997 NCAA Men's and Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Rules and in the 1997 NCAA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships handbook.

For the men's mile run, the automatic standards are 3:58.99 (fully automatic time) and 3:58.7 (manual time); the provisional standards are 4:03.56 (fully automatic time) and 4:03.3 (manual time). The standards are incorrectly listed as 3:59.09/3:58.8 and 4:04.06/4:03.8, respectively, in the rules book and championships handbook.

For the women's 440-yard relay, the provisional standards are 45.50 (fully automatic time) and 45.2 (manual time). The standards are incorrectly listed as 45.60 and 45.3, respectively, in the rules book and championships handbook.
