Committee notices

Member institutions are invited to submit nominations to fill interim vacancies on NCAA committees. Written nominations to fill the following vacancies must be received by Julie Quickel, NCAA committee and scholarship coordinator, in the NCAA national office by the close of business March 31, 1997 (fax number 913/339-0035).

Committee on Infractions: Replacement for James L. Richmond, Rowe, New Mexico, who resigned. Appointee must be a member of the general public who is not associated with a collegiate institution, conference, or professional or similar sports organization, and does not represent coaches or athletes in any capacity.

National Youth Sports Program Committee: Replacement for Robert L. Bockrath, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, who resigned from the committee. Appointee must be female and have recent experience in the administration of a National Youth Sports Program. The appointee must be from a Division I-A or I-AAA institution or conference. Nominations may be made by anyone on the membership and must be written. Nominations for this position should be received in the NCAA national office by the end of business April 4, 1997.
