Alfred appointed Paul Vecchio as its director of athletics. Vecchio has been the senior associate athletics director for communication and sports administration at Buffalo since 2006. Additionally, Vecchio spent 1992-95 as sports information director at Alfred.

Other transactions

Athletics directors – Otterbein selected Dawn Stewart as its director of athletics. Stewart had previously been Capital’s athletics director since 2008.

Coaches

Men’s basketball – Ole Miss and head men’s basketball coach Andy Kennedy agreed to a contract extension through the 2014-15 season. Kennedy has spent the last six seasons leading the program.

Women’s basketball – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi hired Royce Chadwick as its head women’s basketball coach. Chadwick spent the last 11 years as Marshall’s head coach.

Men’s and women’s soccer assistants – Saint Francis (Pennsylvania) added Bryce Cooper to its men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach. Cooper spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Butler.
