Fairleigh Dickinson hired Deb Solfaro as senior associate director of athletics. Solfaro most recently worked in a variety of roles at NJCAA school SUNY-Ulster. In the past, Solfaro was Boston’s head softball coach from 1995-2000 and spent time prior to that at Army as an assistant softball coach and athletics administrator.

Other transactions

Deputy athletics directors – California appointed Solly Fulp deputy director of athletics and chief operating officer. Fulp previously worked for California from 2003-08.

Coaches

Men’s basketball – American signed head men’s basketball coach Jeff Jones to a contract extension through the 2015-16 season. Jones is entering his 12^th season at the helm.

Women’s basketball – Hamilton hired Kate DeSorrento as its head women’s basketball coach. DeSorrento was the top assistant at Rochester (New York) since 2008.

Men’s and women’s soccer – St. Mary’s (California) extended the contract of head women’s soccer coach Kai Edwards through the 2015 season. Edwards began with the Gaels in 2009.

Staff

Athletic trainers – Fairleigh Dickinson named Amanda Livsey and Michael Kellner assistant athletic trainers.
