Fordham promoted four staff members: Mary Cunneen to assistant athletics director for facilities and event management, Jess Powers to assistant athletics director for tickets and business affairs, Scott Kwiatkowski to associate sports information director and Dave Zippo to associate head athletic trainer.

Other transactions

Assistant athletics directors – Iona promoted Jessica Rosenberg to assistant athletics director for administration and team operations. Rosenberg was Iona’s assistant sports information director the past five years.

Coaches

Men’s basketball assistants – Iona named Jared Grasso associate head men’s basketball coach. Grasso spent the last four years at Fordham as an assistant and also served as interim head coach in 2009-10.

Women’s basketball assistants – Loyola (Maryland) chose Keith Booth as an assistant women’s basketball coach. Booth spent the last seven seasons as an assistant with Maryland’s men’s squad.

Football – Louisville extended the contract of head football coach Charlie Strong by seven years, keeping him with the Cardinals through 2018. This is Strong’s second season at the helm … Tulane announced the resignation of head football coach Bob Toledo. Toledo was in his fifth season as head coach. Mark Hutson is now the interim head coach.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse – Lees-McRae head men’s lacrosse coach Brendan Arthur resigned. Arthur took over prior to the 2011 season and will be replaced by Andy Nesdill on an interim basis.

Men’s and women’s volleyball – Syracuse’s head women’s volleyball coach Jing Pu has been relieved of his duties. Current assistant Kelly Morrisroe will serve as the interim head coach, while Matt Soderstrom takes over as interim associate head coach.

Staff

Academics – Iona promoted Naeemah Ricketts to coordinator of academics. Ricketts was previously assistant coordinator of academics, a position she held since her graduation from Iona in 2009.

Sports information – Iona elevated John Higgins from sports information assistant to assistant sports information director.
