Rice hired Blessing Chekwa as its director of operations for the women’s basketball program. Chekwa comes from her alma mater, Mississippi State, where she was a graduate assistant for the Bulldog Club fundraising unit while receiving dual master’s degrees. She has also been an assistant coach at East Central Community College.

Meggan Dulude
Athletics directors – Southern Arkansas appointed Steve Browning interim director of athletics. The designation comes four months after the passing of former Director of Athletics Jay Adcox due to cancer. President David Rankin has been serving as the interim AD.
Assistant athletics directors – Saint Michael’s promoted Meggan Dulude to assistant director of athletics. Since returning to her alma mater in 2010, Dulude has served as the coordinator of athletics facilities and student workers.
Coaches
Men’s basketball assistants – Xavier added Aaron Williams to its men’s basketball coaching staff as a temporary assistant. Williams’ appointment comes as assistant coach Kareem Richardson continues recovery after recent surgery and a hospital stay.
Football – Washington State relieved head football coach Paul Wulff of his duties after four seasons at the helm. Wulff compiled a 9-40 record during his tenure.
Men’s and women’s lacrosse – Defiance named Jason Allen its first head women’s lacrosse coach. The program will begin play in 2012-13, with a full varsity schedule planned for 2013-14.
Men’s and women’s volleyball – North Florida will not renew the contract of head women’s volleyball coach Kevin Campbell after five seasons leading the program.
Staff
Operations – Saint Michael’s chose Ann Dwyer as its new coordinator of athletics facilities, student workers and events. Dwyer spent more than two years as the assistant to the director of athletics at Cedar Crest
