NCAA Committee Vacancies
The NCAA is soliciting nominations for six April 1, 2012, vacancies on the Division I Progress-Toward-Degree Waiver Committee. As part of the increased academic standards for two-year college transfers, the Division I Board of Directors adopted NCAA Division I Proposal No. 2011-70 in October. This proposal expands the committee from eight members to 14 and incorporates the review of all two-year college transfer waivers. This legislation is effective April 1, 2012. The committee will be separated into two subcommittees, one to process the current waivers handled by the committee and a second to handle all two-year college transfer requirements. The six April 2012 vacancies are in addition to the two September 1, 2012, vacancies for which nominations currently are being sought. The deadline for submitting nomination materials is Dec. 2, 2011. Nominations must be submitted online by conferences.
In addition, the NCAA is soliciting nominations for January 2012 vacancies on the following committees. The deadline for submitting nomination materials is Dec. 2, 2011. Nominations must be submitted online (access code: membership2, password: service).
