Men’s lacrosse programs at Augustana (Illinois), Benedictine, Defiance and Elmhurst will be affiliated with the Midwest Lacrosse Conference beginning with the 2013 season.
Those schools join Hanover, which begins MLC play in 2012, as new members. The conference will be at 14 members by the 2013 campaign.
The current nine members of the NCAA Division III conference, which just completed its second season of competition, are Adrian, Albion, Aurora, Carthage, Concordia Wisconsin, Fontbonne, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Mount St. Joseph and Trine.
Adrian has won the conference's first two titles, and recently competed in the NCAA Division III tournament, losing a first-round game in overtime. It was the first appearance in the national tournament by an MLC team.
