Terry Rupert, vice president for athletics administration and director of athletics at Wilmington (Ohio), has been selected to fill a vacant position on the Division III Management Council.

Rupert replaces Joan Sitterly, who recently retired as director of athletics at Cortland State. He will be eligible for reappointment to a full Council term in January 2012.

Rupert has directed the athletics program at Wilmington since 1996 and was promoted to vice president in 2007. He also has chaired the college's department of health, physical education and athletic training

He has been active in Division III governance, including recent service on the Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee, which he chaired. Rupert also is a former chair of the Division III Financial Aid Committee.
