Mount Union hired Mark J. Hawald¸ Sean Dreger, and Scott Mitchell as assistant wrestling coaches. Hawald has more than 40 years of wrestling experience, including time as an assistant coach at John Carroll. Dreger was most recently an assistant coach at the high school level and is a former Purple Raider wrestling student-athlete. Mitchell has coached at the youth level and is a former North Carolina State wrestler.

Committee vacancies

The NCAA is seeking nominations for an immediate Division I vacancy on the Olympic Sports Liaison Committee. The appointee will replace Fernando Canales, former assistant swim coach at Michigan. The appointee may be from any subdivision. The committee prefers nominees with Olympic or international sport experience, campus experience with one or more Olympic sports, campus experience with international student-athletes, work experience with national governing bodies and or the USOC and familiarity with NCAA amateurism rules. The deadline for nominees is December 10, 2010. All nominations must be submitted online through the conference office.
