Penn State Abington will add men's cross country this fall as its 14th varsity sport. The suburban Philadelphia school, which already sponsors women's cross country, is in its first year as a Division III provisional member and competes in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. "Men's cross country has already drawn considerable interest from our current students," said Karen Weaver, director of athletics. "We are excited to provide another opportunity for our student-athletes to do what they love to do – compete." Jose Rodriquez will coach both the men's and women's teams. He led the women to an eighth-place finish in their first season of NEAC competition last fall. |
