Muskingum softball coach Donna Newberry, the all-time career wins leader in Division III, notched her 900th career win in the first game of the Muskies' doubleheader split at Ohio Athletic Conference rival Marietta on Tuesday.

Newberry, a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame member, is only the 25th coach across all three divisions to accumulate 900 victories. During her career at Muskingum, Newberry has won 18 OAC championships, led the Muskies to 18 NCAA regional appearances, advanced to eight NCAA finals and captured Muskingum's first national championship in 2001.

The Muskies won the milestone game, 8-3, behind a three-run first inning.
