Philadelphia University men's basketball coach Herb Magee became just the third men's coach in any division to reach 900 career wins when his Rams downed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rival Bloomfield, 81-77, on Saturday.
Magee, now in his 43rd season at Philadelphia U, joins Don Meyer of Northern State and Bob Knight as the only men's coaches to win at least 900 games. Knight, who retired after coaching at Army, Indiana and Texas Tech, is within Magee's range at 902. Meyer, who is still active, had 922 through the weekend.
The win gave the Rams a 20-6 record on the season and a CACC south-division-leading 12-1 mark.
Senior forward Malcolm Ingram led the Rams with 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
