For the second time in less than a week, Erskine senior Bryan Fogle has stamped his name into the record books as he broke the NCAA Division II career record for total bases Wednesday night in the Fleet's 14-10 victory over Wingate.

In the top of the sixth inning, Fogle hit his second home run of the game over the left center field fence and moved him ahead of David Thomas of Catawba, who had 583 career total bases. Fogle currently has 588 total bases and will look to hit the 600 mark before the end of the season.

Fogle also holds the career RBI record, which he broke last Friday at Barton.

On the night, Fogle also set two school records, with his first home run of the game he broke his own school record with his 21st round tripper. His RBI double in the 10th inning of the game gave him 84 RBIs on the year and broke the school record held by Casey Smith from 2005.

"This is a tremendous accomplishment for Bryan," said coach Kevin Nichols. "Not many people can say they hold one NCAA record, but to be able to hold two records is truly impressive."

Fogle is currently hitting .455 with 22 home runs, 19 doubles, 84 RBIs and slugging .964.
